All you need to know about Internet Marketing and how to Make Money On Line.

How to Get 100s of People into Your Downline(s) in Just a Few Months

I’ve been “seriously” working the Web since late 2000. I joined a few affiliate programmes in the early days - more than I could handle back then - and more or less gave up on every single one of them.

That’s not to say there was anything wrong with the programmes, but I just couldn’t get enough referrals. Why couldn’t I get them? Because my approach was all wrong. I’ve since worked out a strategy to market this kind of opportunity. In fact, I think I can successfully market ANY programme that offers rewards for building a downline.

The technique I have developed is simplicity itself, yet I am astounded at how rarely it is used. In fact, I see golden opportunities to utilise this tactic overlooked every single day. So what is this technique? I’ll show you. Outlined below are six steps that you could follow to build your downline(s) and maximise your earning potential.

1) Go to your favourite Search Engine and conduct a search under “free affiliate programmes” or “get paid for referrals” or “get paid to surf, read emails” etc. You could (and should) also consider any good quality programmes you are currently promoting.

Link Building for Hilltop

Link Building for Hilltop
 by: Andy Hagans

Hilltop is one of the major concepts underpinning Google’s search algorithm, yet its workings and implications are often misunderstood. After the infamous Florida Update, many webmasters were aghast as their rankings plummeted; and again, when the mysterious “sandbox” was implemented, some webmasters could not get a Web site to rank well, period. Part of the reason that some Web sites get shuffled out of the SERPs when new algorithmic features are implemented is that those sites never gained authority in the eyes of the search engines–that is, they were not sufficiently meshed into their local topical communities.

This concept of authority was one pioneered in a paper titled “Hilltop: A Search Engine based on Expert Documents,” written by Krishna Bharat and George A. Mihaila. The full text is available online at http://www.cs.toronto.edu/~georgem/hilltop/.

(Note: Google has obviously not implemented Hilltop in its pure form, but rather uses the principles of topical communities and authority in its algorithm. Likewise, other search engines such as MSN and Yahoo! are not using Hilltop per se, but rather similar algorithmic features. Thus when I mention ‘Hilltop’ I am referring to not just the specific paper published by Bharat and Mihaila, but also to the fundamental theory upon which any authority-based link popularity algorithm is based. This theory applies to Topic-Sensitive PageRank, etc.)

Your Book and a Great Website

Your Book and a Great Website
 by: Dr. Jamie Fettig

One of the most overlooked and easiest ways to get your book into the hands of the people you wrote it for, is having a great website.

Build a great Website. I can’t state this often enough or strongly enough: you must have an attractive, easy to use Website that lets your visitors do four things:

  1. Buy your book.
  2. Register and download sample chapters or get your e-newsletter.
  3. E-mail friends about your book.
  4. Find out more about you.

Your Website should be ground zero for your book business, the place where everyone comes to buy copies, give you their contact information, communicate with you about media interviews or bulk orders, and just learn about your book and why they should buy it. It’s the single most important aspect of your marketing plan.

Notice that I said, “great” Website. There are thousands of new books coming out every month, and many of them are amateurish at best. Having a sloppy, clunky, poorly written Website only makes your book look like one of those amateur-hour productions. Invest the money in a professional Web developer, someone who can design a classy, beautiful site, build your e-commerce system and give you the means to easily update your site’s content at any time.
